Don't say "my city is not safe"...instead do something

Everyone is talking about recent brutal gang rape and showing their anger against the system and city administration.

Is it only administration responsible for everything or do we need to change our social system?

"Fundamental Rights" as per Constitution of India guarantees civil liberties such that all citizens can lead their lives in peace and harmony. These include individual rights, such as freedom to practice religion, equality before law, freedom of speech and peaceful assembly, etc.

The Fundamental Rights are defined as basic human freedom which every citizen has the right to enjoy for a proper development of personality. These rights apply to all citizens, irrespective of religion, caste, creed, color or Gender.

But what is the reality?

Women in India continue to face discrimination and are often victims of abuse and crimes, according to a poll, India is in the list of top 5 most dangerous country for women. Although, in India, women have  held various high offices including country’s   President, Prime minister, Chief Minister, Speaker of Parliament, Governor, President of political parties and Opposition Leader but for an ordinary woman nothing has changed. Commonly known crimes against women are Acid Throwing, Sexual harassment, Dowry, Child marriage, Sex selective abortions, Domestic violence, Trafficking and Eve teasing etc.

It's not just about equality anymore.

Enough is enough, reforms are the need of the Hour, let’s find out ways to make women friendly society, we need to have more strict laws and its enforcement.
